What is SMS and how does Miracle Service implement it?
SMS (Short Message Service) is a text message service that enables short messages of generally no more than 140-160 characters in length to be sent and transmitted to a cellphone. Similar to email, short messages are stored and forwarded at SMS centers, which means your technicians can retrieve their messages later if they are not immediately available to receive them. To implement this module you will require an internet connection, as well as an established email server.
As each network limits the number of characters
that a cellphone can receive for a message, Miracle Service
has applied a message breakup routine that divides task information
into several messages if a message is more than the maximum
allowed character length. This process will ensure that your
technicians receive all of the pertinent task information
without being truncated.
