System Requirements

These are the basic requirements for installing and using Miracle Service
Server (SQL)

Processor - Minimum: 1 GHz (x86 processor) or 1.4 GHz (x64 processor) or 1.0 GHz (IA64 processor)
Recommended: 2 GHz or faster (dual-core or quad-core will be much faster)

Memory - Minimum: 8 GB RAM or 16GB (if running 5 or more client PC's)
Recommended: 16 GB RAM or Greater (more RAM up to 32 GB, better performance)

SQL Version- Microsoft SQL Server 2019 Express is provided with Miracle Service.  Microsoft does not recommended installing SQL Server on a domain controller (article)

Available Disk Space Minimum: 100 GB Free Disk Space on C: Drive
SQL Express Limitations: 1GB maximum memory used by the database engine, and 10GB maximum database size.


  • Windows Server 2016, Windows Server 2019, Windows Server 2022. Or if dedicated PC acting as server: Windows 10 Professional, Windows 11 Professional (Minimum: 8 GB RAM)

  • It is not recommended to install SQL Server on a domain controller.
  • For any web portal we only support Internet Information Services (IIS) version 7.5 and later. When running any Web Portal Applications on a 64 Bit operating system, the IIS Server must be enabled for 32-bit applications. The IIS Server must also be on the same computer as the database. We do not support MS Exchange or SharePoint on the same server as the web portals or Customer Relationship Management (CRM) applications.

  • For Document Manager and eForms applications running on the server we require Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8
    or later and ASP.NET services to be running in IIS. eForms can only be installed with IIS 7.5 or later.

Client PC

Microsoft Windows 10 & 11 Pro 64-bit versions

Recommended: 2 GHz or faster (dual-core or quad-core will be much faster)

Memory Minimum: 8 GB RAM
Recommended: 8 GB RAM or greater

Available Disk Space Minimum: 100 GB
Recommended: 100 GB or greater


  • Requires Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8 or later 
  • Recommended Monitor Resolutions: 1920 x 1080 or 1366 x 768
  • Any Windows compatible network
  • Connecting to networks using WiFi does not provide optimal communication to networked database environments due to fluctuating connectivity. It is recommended to ensure that all PCs and Laptops connect to the Miracle Service network using a wired (Ethernet) connection to minimize network and connectivity issues. We recommend 100 Mbps Ethernet adapters for small networked installations and 1 GBps for sites/networks with a heavy workload.

  • iPhone & iPad: iOS11 or later
  • Android: version 8.0.x (Oreo) or later (Note: eForms module not supported on this platform)
  • Windows 10 Pro tablets or laptop
  • Note: Signature Capture feature requires an HTML5 Compatible Browser.
  • eForms Certificate Management module is supported on laptop and tablet devices only and is compatible with specific device specific PDF Readers as follows:
    • Recommended Platform for eForms: Windows 10 Pro Tablets or Laptops
    • iOS devices: PDF Expert PRO*
    • Android: NOT SUPPORTED
    • Windows: Adobe Reader 10.X or Later (Not Mobile Edition)*
    • *Note: these are third party products which may incur additional fees. We cannot guarantee the compatibility with each new release and therefore recommend customers test any new release prior to buying or installing multiple readers to ensure the latest version remains compatible.
Web Browser
Technician Short Message Service/Text Feature
  • Internet access and SMTP e-mail server access is required. Nexent will provide limited support for third party SMTP servers as many security features can affect the operation of the email and SMS services which are beyond Nexent's control.
Accounting Exporter
  • QuickBooks: Compatible with 2011 or later versions of QuickBooks Desktop Pro, Premier and Enterprise. Also compatible with QuickBooks Online version.
  • Other Accounting Applications: Please check with us for compatibility with 20+ leading accounting packages.
Regional Settings
Miracle Service is designed based on Regional Settings based on the most common international notation standards. These are typically as follows:
  • Currency formatting uses the comma thousand separator. (e.g. $1,572.34, €1,294.00)
  • Date formatting uses either the dd/MM/yyyy or MM/dd/yyyy formatting.
  • Number formatting uses the comma thousand separator. (e.g. 1,203, 10,965…etc.)
While we have customers using a variety of regional settings, we are aware there are some regional settings which are incompatible with Miracle Service. In cases where a user's Regional Settings are incompatible with Miracle Service, users will need to set-up a virtual computer (such as OracleBox™, Virtual PC™ or other virtualized desktop or server software) so they can set-up a separate environment compatible with Miracle Service.

While these are the minimum requirements, as with any software application, the faster the computer and the more memory it has, the faster the software will run.

The number of concurrent users and/or the amount of data your business gathers define workload.
